The Story Behind The Peace Collection

The Story Behind The Peace Collection

Peace, shaped by hand.

For months, our team has been working with our partners in the West Bank to bring The Peace Collection to life. It began as a dream — a quiet hope that, even in the hardest circumstances, something beautiful could still take shape.

At the centre of that dream are the women who made it real.
Mothers, daughters, sisters — each one with her own story of loss and resilience. Many have lived through the sounds of conflict, through moments when it felt impossible to rebuild. Yet, every morning, they return to their tables, to the clay, to the rhythm of making.

Because making, for them, is more than craft. It’s healing. It’s remembering. It’s an act of peace.

When we asked what should guide this collection, the answer was unanimous: the olive tree.
To our makers, it’s more than a tree. It’s livelihood. Memory. A symbol of heritage and endurance. In the past two years alone, more than 10,000 olive trees have been destroyed across Gaza and the West Bank — each one a family’s story uprooted.

And yet, they plant again.

From that same earth, they shape these ceramics — bowls, vessels, and forms that carry the marks of human hands and human hope. Each piece is a reminder that peace isn’t a distant idea; it’s something we build, hold, and pass on.

When you hold one of these pieces, you hold a story.
A story of care. Of courage. Of women who refuse to give up on beauty, even when surrounded by loss.

Your purchase helps provide fair wages for displaced women in the West Bank, emergency aid when it’s needed most, and economic dignity in the midst of instability.

But more than that, it helps peace take root — not as a word, but as work.

“When you make peace, you plant olive trees.
Olive trees stay for centuries. Let’s plant peace.”

Peace is fragile. But hope isn’t.
And with every piece shaped, fired, and held, we believe in a world where both can endure.
