Olive Tree Project with Embrace the Middle East

£20.00

Plant a tree for peace in Palestine.

In collaboration with UK charity, Embrace the Middle East.

By planting saplings on fields at risk of confiscation you are preserving the farmers' rights to tend their own land. Planting an olive tree means you are helping the Palestinian people maintain their ancient ties to the land, preserving an important source of income and sustenance. Your tree will also produce a harvest of fruit and pruned branches that can be used for oil, soap and hand-carved gifts, helping Palestinian families make money.

The donation of £20 that you make to the Olive Tree Project will fund the planting of one £15 olive sapling on Palestinian land, as well as training for farmers on the best techniques for olive tree care and production improvement. £5 of your donation will be used to support the wider work of our partners in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory (IoPt), ensuring that they can continue to change lives for the better in their communities.

You will receive one gift card for each tree you sponsor which includes instructions for how to register your olive tree. You may choose to pass the card on as a gift - many people choose to plant an olive tree to mark a special occasion such as a wedding or significant birthday or perhaps in memory of a loved one.

The person who registers the tree will receive a Planting Certificate and the story of the farmer on whose land the sapling has been planted. They can also choose to sign up for email updates from the Olive Tree Project.

Important info:

Trees are planted each spring and Planting Certificates will be sent out in the summer following the planting season. Trees bought from 1 January 2026 onwards will be planted in Spring 2027 and certificates sent Summer 2027.  Trees must be registered to receive Planting Certificates.

This is in collaboration with Embrace the Middle East, a UK Charity.  www.embraceme.org.   Love Welcomes will donate and pass on the olive tree gift card to you.    You can also donate directly to the olive tree project at www.embraceme.org
