Handmade Palestinian Water Jug Vase | Saffron | Made in the West Bank
A modern Palestinian water jug vase, handmade in the West Bank by displaced women. Saffron orange with a matte finish. 25 cm tall.
Full description
This handmade ceramic vase is a modern take on the traditional Palestinian water jug, the jarra. For generations, women carried water home in jugs like this one. We kept the long neck, round body and tall handle. We added a saffon orange glaze with a soft matte finish.
Each vase is handmade in the West Bank, Palestine, by women who have been displaced from their homes. Your purchase gives them fair, above-living-wage work and keeps a Palestinian craft alive.
Why it matters
Displacement in the West Bank is not new. It began in 1948, when around 700,000 Palestinians lost their homes, and grew after 1967. It continues today. In 2026 alone, thousands more have been forced out by demolitions and settler attacks. This vase is part of our Joy in Resistance collection: beautiful things made by women who are still here.
