Chalice and Paten set

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘽𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙡𝙚𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 is a collaboration born between Love Welcomes, Thistle Farms, and the Center for Contemplative Justice.

The 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 and patens have been made by 4 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 living in Bethlehem in the West Bank, Palestine. These artistic pieces are used on altars to hold the wine and bread that is shared with the congregation in sacred services.

We hold these pieces 𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜.

We hold them 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚. They call us back to our humanity as we humbly cherish the gift of life.

As the war continues, we will keep engaging the women potters of the West Bank.

The money raised from these sacred vessels will be used to benefit 𝙬𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙖𝙧, 𝙫𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙥𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙮, 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣.

Life for the women potters and all of us, is forever changed.

We hold onto these relics to feel strength and hope and the unwavering doggedness of love.
