Made by hand by a woman living in a refugee camp in Greece, a small basket is ideal for storage in the bedroom, hallway, kitchen or bath. But it’s much more than a way to organise your products, tools and other essentials. Each basket provides a woman with a livelihood and a way to build a new life for herself and her family while confined to a refugee camp. With all of the looms having been shut during lockdown, the skilled craftswomen of the Love Welcomes community developed a new style of crochet to be able to continue to produce these products. Symbolic of the challenges refugees overcome in their journeys to safety and self-sufficiency, these baskets are a beautiful way to lend your support.
